We adored Julie's place, it was everything we needed and the view was amazing. It was the perfect location for everything we wanted to do. Sitting on the front porch in the morning enjoying our coffee watching the sunrise was absolutely amazing.

This is an amazing place to get away and recharge. Quiet and beautiful. The porch faces the sunrise which is a beautiful way to start the day. With the bedroom in the back of the house it remains darker for a comfortable rest and chance to sleep-in in the morning. Belties is 6 minutes away which is so convenient for the best breakfast in the county. This place has everything you need and a warm, friendly, and responsive host. Definitely would like to go back.

Incredible weekend stay in this beautiful home! House was very clean and well stocked . Very peaceful location with amazing views. The location felt very private but also easy access to the wineries and breweries along the 151. Really enjoyed visiting the local wineries but equally enjoyed relaxing in the home! Host super responsive. Don’t hesitate to book- you will love it !!

Julie's place was the perfect retreat to unwind for a few days. The house was just remote enough to be peaceful, but also a short drive from the local wineries, breweries and even a coffee roastery. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked out on the propane grill a couple of nights. Communication was quick and efficient, and the check-in / check-out process was well detailed and easy. In short, highly recommended and I'm hoping to return soon!

We had a wonderful girls weekend! The location was perfect for visiting wineries and the guide provided by the host was amazing! We loved the views out the front window and would definitely return again!

This is our 5th stay at Julie's mountain view cottage. Three years ago (when Julie first started renting it) my wife surprised me with the cottage rental for my birthday in April. I loved the cottage and area so much I decided to not only make it an annual birthday event but to also include coming in the fall for the leaves changing color. The cottage is always in great shape and if there is anything you feel that needs to be corrected Julie will look into it and handle it. Besides the gorgeous views, this cottage has abundant wildlife around it as we saw numerous bucks, doe's and even an albino doe. This location is just off of Route 151 which is famous for the numerous wineries, breweries, cideries and distilleries all along this route. This location is also fairly close to Waynesboro (which you can get to with a very scenic drive), Staunton and Charlottesville too where you can find restaurants, local businesses, "big box chains" and antique stores. I highly recommend this cottage.

I had a really nice stay at Julie's place for a long weekend before heading south to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway. This location is so private and peaceful. Sunsets were spectacular, bird watching was great, and there were lots of deer passing through the yard as well. WiFi worked great. I thought the driveway was a little steep, but now that I've completed the Parkway and stayed in other mountain homes along the way... this one wasn't really too bad, looking back now. LOL! Great location to access the BRP and Skyline Drive. Afton is really a beautiful area! Thanks, Julie! :)
